For a charter crew this means facilities many trendier waters lack: a proper port, servicing and people who know everything about the water. All around stretches the Tuchola Forest: the lake lies within the Zaborski Landscape Park, and its eastern neighbour is the Tuchola Forest National Park, so the scenery of your trip is pine forest with hardly any buildings.

The ribbon shape has practical consequences: with a northerly or southerly wind, waves build up along the lake's whole length and can surprise a crew used to small waters. Where to sail: Swornegacie and the Brda trail
The classic route leads from Charzykowy north to Małe Swornegacie, where the lake flows into the next waters of the Brda trail: Karsińskie, Witoczno and Długie. This is a trip in a completely different mood than Masuria: instead of crowded trails and bars by the quay you get forest, reed-lined piers and villages where time moves slower. Swornegacie is a good spot for the night and for restocking provisions, and the narrow passages between the lakes require careful navigation with sails furled.
