What a day of charter costs: market ranges
The figures below are market ranges from the 2026 season, not Portivo's price list or a single operator's. The final rate is always stated by the charter company, because it depends on the specific boat, the waters and the date. Treat the table as a reference point, not a price guarantee.

One pattern stands out: the difference between peak and the rest of the season can reach 30-40 percent. July and August are the priciest months, while May, June and September are noticeably cheaper for the same boat.
What drives the charter price
The final rate is made up of several factors worth knowing before you compare offers:
- Boat type and size. The larger and newer the boat, the higher the rate. We compare the types in our piece on a yacht, a houseboat or a motorboat.
- Season and date. Holidays and long weekends are the priciest. Off-season, prices drop and operators negotiate more readily.
- Length of the trip. A weekly charter costs less per day than a weekend. For short rentals, companies often add a surcharge.

Hidden costs: deposit, cleaning, surcharges
The daily rate is not everything. Add these items to your budget:
- Deposit - a refundable security against damage, usually from 1,000 to 6,000 zl depending on the boat class. It is not a cost if you return the boat undamaged, but you must have those funds available. We explain how it works and when it comes back in our guide to the charter deposit.
- Cleaning and service - most often 100-550 zl, sometimes included in the price.
- Fuel - with a motorboat and a houseboat every kilometre burns fuel, so it is a real budget line.
- Short-trip surcharge - for a one- or two-day rental operators often add 10-30 percent.
A good operator shows these items separately instead of hiding them in one figure. The prepayment confirms the booking, the balance is the rest of the price, and the deposit is refundable. Separating these three things is a signal that the company keeps its settlements transparent.
How to pay and book
The most convenient way to book is online: a good operator shows availability in a calendar, accepts online bookings and lets you pay right away.
